The
Approach.
My practice is rooted in Transactional Analysis (TA). It is a highly accessible, collaborative framework that looks at how our past experiences shape our present reality.
We often carry unconscious "scripts"—decisions we made as children to survive our early environments. Sometimes, those old survival strategies cause immense friction in our adult lives.
TA suggests our personality is made up of three distinct Ego States. By learning to recognize which state is driving the car, we can reclaim the autonomy to choose how we respond to the world.
The Adult
The part of us that is present. It processes facts, assesses reality, and responds to the 'here and now' without being clouded by past emotions or borrowed rules.
The Goal of Therapy
"To strengthen the Adult, soothe the Child, and soften the critical Parent."
